The Planning Commission welcomes you to attend our meetings, which are always open to the public. These meetings are where we discuss, deliberate, and make recommendations to the City Council regarding the future of our community.

Special Meeting: April 14, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. — Palouse City Hall, 120 E. Main Street
Regular Meeting: May 5, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. — Palouse City Hall, 120 E. Main Street
Regular Meeting: August 5, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. — Palouse City Hall, 120 E. Main Street
Regular Meeting: November 4, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. — Palouse City Hall, 120 E. Main Street
In addition to regular meetings, the Commission may hold special or continued meetings as needed. Announcements for these meetings are posted on the City’s email listserv. From time to time, public hearings are also conducted and are announced via email and in the *Moscow-Pullman Daily News*. Meetings and hearings are typically held at Palouse City Hall, 120 E. Main Street.
The Planning Commission is established under Palouse Municipal Code Section 17.04.110 as a seven-member body. Members are appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the City Council and must reside within city limits.
The Commission’s duties include investigating, reviewing, and making recommendations to the City Council on the creation, adoption, and revision of the Comprehensive Plan, as well as advising on land use planning and zoning matters as directed by the Council.

The City of Palouse is currently seeking applicants to fill three vacant seats on the Palouse Planning Commission.
The Planning Commission plays a key role in shaping the future of our community. The Commission helps guide decisions related to growth, land use, and the protection of community values, all in alignment with the City’s Comprehensive Plan.
Serving on the Commission is a great opportunity to get involved and make a meaningful impact on the future development of Palouse.
